Course Description | This full year course explores a range of music industry pathways relating to performance and music and sound production. Delivered during a combination of school and after hours’ time in the Performing Arts Centre of Mount Barker High School and the Adelaide Hills Vocational College Campus, students will develop practical skills in Musicianship through participation in Music Performance and gain hands-on experience using music technology and sound reinforcement equipment.
With an emphasis on collaboration and teamwork, students investigate essential music industry issues including Workplace Health and Safety and copyright. Graduates of this nationally recognised qualification will be equipped with the prerequisite skills and knowledge to undertake further study or pursue employment in the music industry.
This a great opportunity to gain 60 SACE credits at SACE Stage 2 level doing something you love. The course is designed for any student who may have a limited knowledge of music through to highly competent performers in all styles of music.
